The Snow Lion Eco Lodge is build in the Sherpa tradition using predominantly local materials and traditional design by local craftsman, while we preserve local culture and Buddhist tradition, we combine these with modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. The lodge offers 17 cozy double-rooms on two floors, each floor having an indoor bathroom with hot water on demand. The adjacent restaurant provides ample space and the handmade fabrics and furniture’s provide an atmospheric and pleasant dinning experience. We serve seasonal Sherpa and Nepali dishes and beverages as well as a choice of western style meals. Whether you choose a la carte from our menu or opt for a set course, you will enjoy our fresh and tasty dishes. After a satisfying meal you can spend the evening sipping a drink from our well stocked bar gazing at the fabulous night sky and the moon rising above the Stupa. We strive to make your stay part of the mountain and nature experience and an experience of our Sherpa hospitality.

Ang Dali Sherpa

Ang Dali Sherpa is your contact person for reservations, bookings and services. She has more than 20 years’ experience in Lodge management and services.

Mrs. Ang Lhamu Sherpa

Ang Lhamu Sherpa is the owner of the lodge and very active in social work. She rebuild the peaceful stupa damaged by the 2015 earthquake in the name of her yongest son Chimi Dawa Sherpa, who died in the earthquake while climbing Mount Everest on April 25. 2015. The local community supported her to rebuild the Stupa.

Narayan Rai

Narayan Rai is a very experienced craftsman who is fit everywhere and can build anything. He is very familiar with the Sherpa culture and has built many lodges in the Khumbu region.

Namgel Sherpa

Namgel Sherpa is the organizing and coordinating soul in the background. He takes care of the lodge’s business and technical matters. He is also the founder of the organistion Nepalhilfe Bonn and the companies HimalayaCrafts and Sherpa Reisen.
